Category Descriptions
- Early Career Professionals (ECPs)- including most Postdoctoral Scholars- are within 10 years of finishing their terminal education (e.g., B.S., B.A., M.S., PhD). PUI- faculty are faculty at Primarily Undergraduate Institutions that do not confer graduate level degrees.
- Regular Professional: Academic & non-profit organization staff with 10+ years post education. This will include most faculty and others in research, administrative, etc. titles that are 10+ years post education (excluding for-profit companies)
- Company/Industry: all others that work in non-academic/for-profit organizations. Industry/company employees that qualify in the ECP category (within 10 years of finishing your terminal education) may register with the ECP rate.

- ~May 10-15- Session chairs will email selected speakers from abstract submissions
- May 24- deadline for selected abstract speakers to accept or their slot will be given to an alternative speaker

- Pre-ICAR sessions on Monday afternoon
- Plenary Sessions, Concurrent Mini-symposia, and Workshops

- Poster sessions with refreshments on Tuesday & Wednesday evenings
- Eligibility to submit one abstract to present in a talk (if selected by a session chair) and/or as a poster
- Exhibit Hall access on Tuesday & Wednesday evenings
- Coffee/tea breaks and snacks
- Four lunches (Tuesday-Friday)
- Free virtual access to live streamed sessions and on-demand recordings (excludes Monday pre-ICAR sessions, recordings available 1 week post-ICAR, and for 1 month)
- One ticket to the Opening Welcome Reception on Monday evening (RSVP required for catering purposes)
- Access to join the 5K Weed Stampede Fun Run/Walk on Wednesday morning
- Access to Science Art Show & eligibility to participate
- Invitation letter for Visa applications (pdf), if needed
- Certificate of attendance post-conference (pdf)
*Separate ticketed event- ICAR party on Thursday evening
- Access to all conference sessions on your chosen day

Cancellation & Substitution Policy:
- You must cancel In-Person registration in writing to [email protected] by June 15, 2024. Cancellation fee is $60 USD (covers staff & fees). Be sure to get a confirmation from the registrar. We are not responsible for emails that are not successfully delivered.
- No in-person fee refunds will be given after June 15, 2024.
- You may transfer your registration to another person with no fees, provided you notify us in writing by July 1, 2024.
- If the organizers must cancel ICAR, e.g., due to Covid outbreak or for any other reason, we will refund 100% of the revenue we received; however, we will retain $30 USD per ticket to cover the transaction & processing fees paid to third party vendors.
- In the event that NAASC cancels the event or associated ticketed events, NAASC is not liable for any charges including nonrefundable hotel charges, airfares, or change penalties imposed by an airline.
